You will be responsible for developing and maintaining advanced WordPress websites using Elementor Pro, custom CSS, JavaScript, PHP, API integrations, performance optimisation techniques, and modern development practices. You will manage hosting environments, troubleshoot technical issues, improve site speed and security, and ensure every website we deliver meets a high technical, performance, and quality standard. Ideal Candidate
- 3+ years of WordPress development experience with a strong portfolio of commercial websites built with Elementor Pro.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
- Experience with WooCommerce, ACF, REST APIs, plugin configuration, database management, and third-party integrations.
- Ability to translate Figma designs accurately into responsive, pixel-perfect WordPress websites.
- Strong understanding of website performance optimisation, including Core Web Vitals, caching, image optimisation, and page speed.
- Experience managing hosting environments, domains, DNS, SSL, staging sites, backups, migrations, and website deployments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across WordPress, plugins, databases, hosting, and front-end issues.
- Experience with WordPress security, debugging, technical QA, and maintaining stable production websites.
- Technical SEO knowledge is a strong advantage.
- Fully available and not engaged in conflicting full-time commitments.
What You'll Do
- Build responsive, high-performance WordPress websites from Figma designs or creative briefs using Elementor Pro and the most suitable tools for each project.
- Use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL where needed to maintain design accuracy, functionality, and reliable website performance.
- Configure and manage WordPress plugins, WooCommerce, ACF, REST APIs, databases, and third-party integrations.
- Manage hosting environments, domains, DNS, SSL, staging sites, backups, migrations, and website deployments.
- Conduct full technical QA before launch, including cross-browser testing, mobile responsiveness, performance, security, and functionality checks.
- Optimise Core Web Vitals, caching, images, page speed, and overall website performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve WordPress, plugin, database, hosting, and front-end issues across client websites.
- Maintain existing client websites through updates, backups, content changes, performance improvements, and technical fixes.
Don't Apply If
- You rely mainly on templates or pre-built demos and cannot translate Figma designs into responsive, pixel-accurate WordPress builds.
- You are not highly proficient in Elementor Pro, as it is the primary builder used across most client projects.
- You are not confident working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL when technical adjustments are required.
- You have limited experience with WooCommerce, ACF, APIs, databases, caching, security, performance optimisation, or third-party integrations.
- You cannot manage hosting, DNS, SSL, staging, backups, migrations, and deployments without constant technical support.
- You struggle to troubleshoot WordPress, plugin, database, hosting, or front-end issues independently.
- You cannot take ownership of a website project from Figma or brief through QA and launch.
